FOOD BANK SYSTEMS

Associated Churches Neighborhood Food Network provides food assistance to needy Allen County residents. Families are eligible once a month to receive a 3 to 5 day supply of food. Each family is assigned to a pantry based on their address. There are 25 locations throughout Allen County. When visiting a pantry, individuals will need to show a photo I.D., as well as any piece of mail with their name and address and rental lease to show proof of residency.

Community Harvest Food Bank serves nine counties in northeast Indiana: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley. Nearly 250+ member agencies are provided with food for residents in their communities. These include church-sponsored food pantries, homeless/transition shelters, soup kitchens, etc. The agencies also provide food to their clients through Community Cupboard food pantry which is housed at the foodbank on Tillman Road in Fort Wayne. In-house programs include Farm Wagon mobile pantry, Saturday Helping Hands food distributions, Crisis Assistance emergency food provisions and programs specifically aimed to feed children, seniors, Veterans and military families.
